Custom Project: Sara’s Chairs

Sara's Table

Sara's Table

Lucky is the girl who inherits a dining room table with the memories of holiday dinners and everyday conversation dancing on its surface. Doubly lucky is she to have space for the eight accompanying chairs, a breakfront and a mirror, all lovingly cared for by her grandmother.

Sara is the fortunate owner of the dining room set and, having created her own history—she’s hosted 3 Passover Seders and a few dinner parties—she’s ready to give it an update. She’d like to reserve the handmade needlepoint chair covers for another use and replace them with a fresh look for her Roscoe Village dining room.

The dining room walls are now painted yellow, the hallway is green and the kitchen is a light blue-grey, so something that blends with each of these rooms is a starting point.

Sara has in mind something timelss and classic that she’ll be happy with for years to come.  And, if you’ve ever searched for your own just-right fabric, you know the choices are endless.  Online sites, Calico Corners, Etsy indie prints, Fischman Fabrics all hold choices that can be overwhelming.  With her parameters in place, Sara’s on the hunt, so meet back here for the new results.
