Project Three: Mosaic Table

I love the term coffee table. Even if you don’t go for it, maybe you’re someone who grabs a Big Gulp in the morning, but you know a coffee table sits in front of the couch and is good for whatever you put on it.

Found Item:This table is from a rummage sale. As a general rule, I set a limit of $20 or less for a redo item, and that’s what this was marked.

Where: A rummage sale at the corner of Hermitage and Wilson one Saturday. The table top was clear glass, the legs were orignally wood tone.

The Makeover: I glued the 1″ tiles to the glass, let the glue cure, then filled in with white grout. Sealed the grout, then painted the legs with basic white semi-gloss.

Materials: Tiles from Ebay, around $12, grout, around $10, grout sealer, $2.97, and semi-gloss paint, on hand, from Home Depot.
